Driveways.

With the pressures of a lack of on street parking being an ever increasing stress for Bristol’s motorists a properly functioning driveway is a real bonus for homeowners. From a practical, affordable tarmac finish, decorative gravel/ gravel grids, concrete or natural stone block paving right through to sleek, modern resin bound gravel, we can provide whatever type of driveway you prefer whilst always allowing for the necessary drainage requirements and other practical and aesthetic considerations.

Q: I need a drop kerb installed to allow access from the road up to my new driveway. How do I go about this?

A: We can advise on every stage from a new application for a drop kerb to the council to organising a registered contractor to installing one.

Q: Do driveways need drainage to be installed?

A: This depends on the material you choose to finish the driveway, as well as it’s gradient. Impermeable systems such as Tarmac and block paving are required by law to be drained onto your own property grounds - usually through a combination of a ‘soakaway’ fed by ground-level strip drains.

Gravel systems generally are self draining so do not require additional drainage, unless for example you are having a resin-bound gravel driveway on a steep gradient
